A Funny Story

My brother, his wife, and his two kids are in town, so we all went out to dinner tonight. I know how much they love Mexican food, so we took them to our favorite restaurant- La Playita in Hermosa Beach. It is right on the beach, so my sister-in-law and I took the kids to play while the food was being prepared.

As we were sitting there watching the kids we reminisced about my wedding which had taken place 9 years ago on that same exact spot. All of a sudden I realized that today was August 5Th. We got married 9 years ago TODAY!I had totally forgotten my anniversary! Thank goodness my husband also forgot. We had a good laugh when I told him. He had been thinking today was the 4Th.

I thought this mental slip might tickle your funny bone, and I wanted to share with you our engagement photos. This picture was taken in our old house. We dressed up as a 1950s couple and took pictures all around the house. This is the only one I could find because all the others are packed up. So enjoy this photo of me when I was young and glamorous, but not yet a housewife!
