Vive La France!

Today I went to lunch with my Mom and Sister-in-law and then we saw the movie Julie & Julia. In keeping with the theme of the movie we went to an amazing French restaurant and I had an omelet with leeks. For dessert I had the most decadent creamy lavender infused ice cream with strawberries. Delish!

Then we saw the movie and I loved it. I had read both books the movie was based on, and really enjoyed them both. What I loved about the movie was the experience Julie had with blogging. It made me laugh as I recognized myself in her life as a blogger. I am sure those of you who have been blogging much longer than little old me will find those parts even funnier.

Of course I had to dress up, and I wanted to look 'French' so this is what I came up with:



This was taken at the restaurant- isn't it (the restaurant) chic! I wore an old skirt, blouse, and belt from Anthro (well, the belt was new) with a vintage satin hat and vintage cherry earrings that match the necklace from yesterday's hair scarf post. So I say Vive La France! Doesn't all the good stuff come from France? Like french fries, french toast, and of course my favorite: french kissing ;).

So has anyone else seen the movie? Any opinions you would like to share?
