Did anyone see Mad Men last night? Betty had the coolest updo, and it reminded me of something I had seen on beauty is a thing of the past. I remembered this hairstyle seen below:
I am pretty sure the Betty hair was the same or very similar to the one above, so I decided to try it. Here are the steps and results:
First I separated my hair into two sections- the top and the bottom. I pulled all the top hair forward and clipped it to my head. Then I twisted the bottom hair to create a french twist and pinned it with the ends sticking up.
Then I smoothed the front (top) hair as best I could and then pulled it into a pony tail. I wrapped the elastic with a piece of hair and pinned it into place. Then I turned the ends under and pinned them. I carefully tried to spread out the hair so it made sort of half circle and then sprayed the heck out of it. It wouldn't move in a windstorm.

Of course it isn't as perfect as Betty's but then again, nobody is as perfect as she is. I think this is a new favorite because I wear my hair in a chignon so often, and this is a prettier version.
