Yellow shoes go with everything.

Today is the first full day with the boys. It started out well with a trip to the kosher bakery (I am a practicing Jew) where I picked up some desserts for a lunch my friend is hosting tomorow. Normally I would make something, but I was worried about not having enough time because of the boys running around. It turned out to be a fun field trip, and the boys were on their best behavior because they know cookies would be involved.

Here is the outfit I picked for the day:

I wanted something as comfortable and easy as my beloved sweatpants, but fancier. So I decided to wear a cute grey knit dress I got at Target a few months back. I then added my yellow 'Minnie Mouse' shoes (for some reason I always think of Minnie when I wear them) that I got from Anthro years ago. I topped everything off with a new grey cap I just purchased on Ebay and an OLD Lulu Guiness purse my husband gave to me at least 6 years ago (at least I *think* it was before we had kids, but my memory isn't the best).

Here is a close up of the accessories.

Once we got home and had lunch, I thought it would be fun for the boys to play with the hose. So I got out some bins I had lying around and we filled them with water. For some reason we have both a cold AND a hot water spigot outside, so my boys had a hootinany making jacuzzis.

At the moment Mason, my older son, is showing his younger brother Toby a video that one of the moms in his class made for all of the 1st graders detailing the year at school. It is wonderful to have such creative moms in my community! I guess some of us spend our time putting on makeup and perfecting pin curls, and other spend their time creating lasting memories as gifts(you can guess which one I am).

As a Jew, I celebrate our sabbath (Shabbat) which starts tonight after sundown and last until 1 hour after sundown Saturday night. Normally I make a large Friday night meal for my family and friends, but tonight there is a big dinner at our Shul (Temple)which my husband and I will be attending. I wish I could post photos of my outfits on Shabbat but I dont use electricity during Shabbat. Maybe I will recreate them for you on Sunday and post then.

Hope you all have a wonderful and glamorous weekend.
