Vintage Living: The Parker Palm Springs

The other hotel in Palm Springs I would like to introduce my dear readers to is The Parker Palm Springs. I have also stayed here (I told you I love the desert) and I found The Parker to be both eclectic and relaxing at the same time. I loved the decor by Jonathan Adler, though it was a bit too masculine and 1970's for my tastes (the brutalism was a bit much). However, I loved the colors found throughout the hotel: bright orange, sunshine yellow, grass green and navy blue wove their way through the decor.

But my favorite thing about The Parker was the garden! It was spectacular. I noticed it as soon as we stepped into it from the lobby to get to our room because the smell of the lavender and sage was magical. Designed by Judy Kameon, the garden was a mosaic of shapes and textures that worked perfectly together and helped elevate what could be a kitschy motel into a grand hotel.









Can't you just imagine yourself laying out by the pool in your vintage bathing suit, or dressing up to play croquet in all white?
