Summertime, and the living's easy

Today was the last day of school for both of my children. I am now surrounded by all of the projects they completed this year, and I will have to figure out a fabulous way to store them (which I will be sure to post). There is a 2 week break before they start camp, which means they will be home for two weeks!

In the past I used to dread when the kids were home for breaks because I didn't know what to do with them. See, they are little boys and I am a very girly girl. I did the best I could, and I never complained, but deep down I just felt like we were on two different planets. But this vacation, things are going to be different, because this year I will be making sure to do everything with a touch of glamour.

I already have a 'schedule' worked out. The schedule is very simple with a morning activity and an afternoon activity. I am hoping this will give some structure to our days. I made sure to have plenty of games that I enjoy such as a 'cooking class', art projects, and building a clubhouse out of large cardboard boxes. Of course we will also be doing the requisite jaunt to the local miniature golf course and if the fog lifts, we will be at the beach.

I will leave you with a very bad picture of what I wore to the 'graduation' ceremony of my younger son from the 3 year old class to the 4 year old class. Notice the cute black 1950's cap. I like to wear hats to spice up my wardrobe and will be posting with some new ones I just got.

I had my husband take this photo of me with my IPhone, after I got back from the ceremony, so it isn't the best picture. I am going to invest in a new camera and maybe a tripod so I can take some better pictures in the future. I am wearing an old dress I got at Anthropologie with a vintage hat and a pair of black wedges with wee little polka dots on them. I like to mix my vintage and modern clothing and I will be sure to blog more about that in the future.
