The summer is upon us and I have noticed a ton of posts regarding vintage bathing suits such as this one,this one,and this one.
But I have yet to see a good post on the beach/pool bag you use to carry your towel, book, and suntan lotion. So I thought I would bring you the best of vintage swim totes:

I also love the classic woven bag. These choices have the added bonus of color and texture which can really complete your outfit.
I wanted to end with some whimsical choices. The first is a funny little poodle picnic basket. I figured this would be perfect for the sassy gal with the sense of humor and the second is a vintage Japanese children's backpack in cherry red! I mean how insane is that color? I like the idea of wearing your bag on your back because it leaves your hands free to help schlep the kid's stuff or, if you are child free, to carry the cooler full of your favorite beverage.
