Spooky Light Fixture

While scouring the internet yesterday for all things light fixture, I came across this simply bizarre hand light sconce:

Can you guess what the hand is? It is a vintage rubber glove mold!

I think it is freakishly amazing. Glamorous? No. But I think a little kitsch goes a long way into livening up an otherwise beautiful room. I also have a touch of the macabre in me, probably from listing to The Smiths and Nine Inch Nails in my youth. I think something totally elegant is enhanced when juxtaposed with something fabulously ugly- a la Jonathan Adler or when Dita was married to whats-his-name.

Any thoughts? Does my tendency towards kitsch disappoint you or make you clap your hands with glee?
