School is suppose to be the safest place for kids to go and learn and also to interact with each other. Well today (April 18) at Ross Elementary School in Houston, Texas a six year old kindergarten student brought a loaded gun to school. When the gun accidentally discharged, three students were injured. I don't know If I should blame the boy or the parents, but in this case I am going to blame the parents. Children(s) should not have access to dangerous things specially gun.
As a parent you are suppose to look after you child and know what he/she is doing. There is no excuse for a child to bring gun into a lunch room where other kids are sitting. Parents please take more interest into your child's life, spend time with them and know their daily routines. You need to know what are they bringing to school and what are they bringing at home. Thank God this child didn't kill nobody, but what if the injuries were serious?. What is a six year old doing with a gun in the first place?. This should be an open eye to every parent out there. The world is not a safe place anymore. A six year old should be playing with cars, learning how to write his/her name and not playing with guns. Parents please pay attention to your kids.
