New home for Hasheem Thabeet

NBA team Houston Rockets sent their Forward Shane Battier and Guard Ish Smith to Grizzlies for center Hasheem Thabeet and forward DeMarre Carroll. To me Hasheem is still young and there is a room for him to develop his skills even more. I believe if he gets more time to play, then he will become a better player. Always there is a room for improvement, like Mr.West said love it or hate it Hasheem is here to stay and he is not going nowhere, he will just keep getting better and better. I am not a fortune teller, but Hasheem will go far, and I wish him all the success in Houston, I am rooting for you boo.

Remembering Kobe's 81 points against Raptors

Today is the five-year anniversary of the night Lakers guard Kobe Bryant scored 81 points in Los Angeles against the Toronto Raptors, the second-highest single game point total in NBA history.

"I just remember we were down 16 points to a bad Raptors team and we had just lost I think to Houston the game before and it was just kind of doom and gloom. We needed to win and I just got hot," Bryant said Friday after shootaround in preparation for the Lakers' game against the Denver Nuggets.

Bryant's 81-point game trails on Wilt Chamberlain's 100-point game on March 2, 1962 for the highest single-game scoring output in league history.

Bryant's feat came during the 2005-06 season when he averaged 35.4 points per game, the highest single-season average since Michael Jordan put up 37.1 points per game in 1986-87 with the Chicago Bulls.

Congratulations to Russia who were chosen to host 2018 FIFA World Cup. Fans waved flags and screamed “Russia! Russia!” on Thursday after the country was awarded the 2018 World Cup in what Prime Minister Vladimir Putin called a deserved victory.

Let us make history together.'' Lakers

I love this team and we are at the best place right now. I believe if we play to win like we did last season, then we will be alright and that champ can be ours again, right now we are at 13-3. GO LAKERSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Miami Heat: They ain't hot after all.

The Heat have lost four of five entering Monday's game against the Washington Wizards at American Airlines Arena. They are just 1-7 against teams with current records above .500. The game was one of the most visibly troubling for the Heat this young season. Emotions ran high in team discussions during timeouts. The height of the frustrations may have been when Spoelstra called timeout early in the third quarter.

I am a huge NBA fan. I was watching the news and I saw people giving comments about Miami Heat. People are saying they have three good players then why aren't they hot, why aren't they winning?. Well it takes more than HOT to win any game. You could be the greatest player out there, but what count is team work. So lets see, Wade,Bosh and James. These guys have been losing like Toronto Raptors, NO OFFENSE. This is what happened when you want to go to a team just because of the hyper the media is giving them. I will always ask this question, why Wade didn't follow James, or why James didn't follow Bosh?. See my dudes, It was all media buzz and now they realize having three players who are great on the team wont make you shine. They all want to be called the greatest so playing for the same time it wont get their shine on. All I am saying is they have to play like a team. It will take time and hard work. Wishing them all the best, but LAKERS OWN THIS!

My TEAM is back.

My babies are back and stronger than ever. We are hungry for another championship. A lot of people have been talking aboout MIAMI taking it, all im saying is MIAMI are nowhere near as good as the LAKERS,they have lot of work to do.

Love it or hate it Hasheem Thabeet is here to STAY

If you watch NBA then you would probably know who Jerry West is, and if you don't then I ll be happy to tell you who he is. Jerry is a retired Basketball player and he played for Los Angeles Lakers. Recently he was interviewed by commercial appeal.com and he was asked about our very own Tanzanian Basketball player Hasheem Thabeet. Mr.West was asked why he has high opinion of Hasheem Thabeet and here is his response
He's going to be in this league, like it or not, 10-14 years. He's going to be in this league that long. He's young and how many guys can block shots like he does in this league? Dwight Howard. If people are going to give up on him then they're crazy. He's got a skill. People that rebound in college rebound in the NBA. People that block shots in college block shots in the NBA.

I am not going to lie I was very disappointed when he was sent to the D-League but who are we to judge someone?. We all deserve second chances and all those great NBA players had their ups and down. They didn't just get up and become the best of the best is. I am sure all the staff at Memphis Grizzlies see something in him,and that is why he is still with them. The guy is young and he has lots of potential. If the greatest NBA player can believe in HIM, then I think yall should too. HATERS,keep on hating but HASHEEM is here to STAY. Shake the haters off and do you. I wish you all the best homie
