Soane UK Visits the USA

I loved Soane Britain the minute I saw their bespoke English furniture catalog but it's always hard to order from a company when you can't see their products in person.  Which is why I am excited to announce that Soane has just opened a pop up shop in the 1stdibs space at the NYDC building.  They will be in town through May 20th and will be selling every piece off the floor so they don't have to ship it back to the UK.  It was such a treat to tour the space and meet the founder of Soane, Lulu Lytle, and her team who could not be nicer.  I especially love nautical inspired pieces and their lighting collection which is wired for the US.  They are also looking for a permanent space in New york but until then, I highly you suggest you check them out before they go back across the pond.

My Life in a Nutshell!

I told you I had some exciting news to share with you and up first on the list is my Blogoshere profile on 1stdibs! I must say it's weird to be on the other end of an interview but writer Marcia Sherrill was very sweet to work with. We started talking months ago so it's fun to see it finally in print. It was needless to say, the talk of the office today. Hope you enjoy it too!

Michael Bruno Says Think Big!

I always love hearing the stories about how people turned their passion into their career. It's always so inspiring so I was thrilled to see on 1stdibs the story of how founder Michael Bruno started his online antiques market. My father will also be interested to read that it all started with the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. I will now be dusting off the copy he gave me years ago!
